Beto Caradepiedra is the son of Panamanian immigrants, an inheritance he explores in his fiction. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Brooklyn College and resides in New York City where he was born and raised. His stories have appeared in StoryQuarterly, Callaloo, Pleiades and other journals. Beto is a recipient of a Fine Arts Work Center Scholars Award, a VONA Fellow and a proud Macondista. Currently, he is seeking agent representation for a novel set in New York and Panama.
